a few months ago, the lovely ladies from the corporate marketing department at reebok took me out to dinner at dbgb where we conversed about footwear, activewear and the relevance of reebok in regards to celebrities, editorial and the new york city streets.
for those that know me well, i am the original reebok vandal in chanel sandals… as a gift, the ladies gave me a gift card to where i could design my own custom pair of reeboks. of course i picked my all time fave freestyle-hi silhouette (aka the 5411). i’m in lurve…
i mixed silver & pewter metallic leather with cream & chocolate brown suede. there are so many components to designing sneakers, you don’t realize how much goes into it until you have to do it yourself…
yesterday i had the pleasure to collaborate with photographer sarah mc colgan on a 10-page editorial spread. it was a long day and a long commute but the photos look dope and we had so much fun in the process. big ups to sarah’s mom for her awesome catering skills…
sticky fingaz rocked the flava flav on 106 and park today. the sweater is a fav amongst the splashiest in fashion lately, so it’s good to see our boys us currency get some teletastic love.
been working alongside the BET wardrobe department with the guys of 106 & park these last few weeks. finally got some sunglass placement for the homie rafa for spring bling. airing next weekend.
sorry. been lax on posting. this week has been crazed, in a good way. i’ve been doing heavy market appointment & pulls for keri hilson, bet 106 & park, and harlem native bugzy of the teamstas.
i love when i’m able to do placement for my peeps. as i mentioned before, i was at valley nyc pulling for keri hilson and i got some rings from my girl toofly. well, keri loved them and wore one the other day at a wet seal signing. yay!
through six degrees of separation, i met gabriella from miss crew at an event and we were both contributors to riottt, so we recognized each other. miss crew is one of my favorite blogs and i check it at least 2-3x a day.
so when the lovely ladies contacted me to include me in their women making history section, i was elated and excited. so i happily obliged. thanks for the love, and check out the interview here.
a few weeks ago i was commissioned to do market and contact the hottest brands for mariah carey’s appearance in the dream’s new single my love. thanks to everyone that sent out gear last minute. so many brands, notablesincluding siwy denim, claw money, jordan. too bad i couldn’t get the sergio rossi puma heels flown in from paris in time.
a few weeks ago the homies over at project 2050 brought me in to style the new era cap company fall 2009 tradition apparel look book. it was a last minute shoot, so i had to think fast and get together as many accessories as possible. the traditional apparel initiative is a collaboration with the yard, whom license out merchandise celebrating black colleges nationwide under a “give-back” policy contributing to different college programs. dope!
