project runway winner/alum christian siriano served the fashion gods this season with an ethereal-yet-modern-metropolitan girl collection for fall 2010. from daytime dresses with sheen and sparkle to fab cocktail dresses to amazing red carpet pieces, i fell in love! wishing i had a ball or a black tie affair to wear this fuschia tulle dress to.
note that the shoes and handbags are by christian siriano for payless. i have never wanted to buy a pair of payless shoes until now!
but what i loved was that my girl kerin.rose a-morir sunglasses made a guest appearance on his runway for extra razzle dazzle. and what were the chances that we’d be sitting right next to each other at the tents? i feel special that i was able to share that moment of accomplishment for her with her.
happy valentine’s day! or, as i have recently been made aware of, happy single awareness day!

a bathing ape has signed a licensing deal with sanrio, hello kitty’s parent company. sanrio will develop a bathing ape’s baby milo character into a range of accessories and novelty items.
[A Bathing Ape] developed the Baby Milo character, a young gorilla with a circular head and an orange face, in 2000 and has featured his likeness on apparel and accessories for both children and adults.
“In the character goods business, Sanrio is a pro among pros. I’ve taken really good care of the Baby Milo character thus far, and with this new opportunity I would like to see him become a [Japan-wide] character,” said Nigo, who also runs his own record label as well as the Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream clothing brands in partnership with Williams.
Hatoyama [ COO of Sanrio] said he thinks Baby Milo will help Sanrio, known for its girly cast of characters, to win over more boys and young male fans.
Sanrio’s initial product lineup, which will be expanded over time, consists of about 40 items, including children’s flip-flops, vinyl tote bags, a tent and a folding chair. The collection, which bows in April, will be sold at about 300 Sanrio stores and other sales points in Japan, but not at Bape’s own stores.
